Andrew Peterson is Professor of Civic and Etikette Education at Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, and Adjunct Professor of Education at the University of South Australia. He has published widely in the fields of civic and moral education, and is co-editor of the Heft of Philosophy in Schools. He is book reviews editor for the British Heft of Educational Studies and handling editor for Citizenship Teaching and Learning. His latest books are The Palgrave In aller Welt Handbook of Education for Citizenship and Social Justice (Palgrave; edited with Robert Hattam, Michalinos Zembylas and James Arthur) and Compassion and Education: Cultivating Compassionate Children, Schools and Communities.
Garth Stahl is a sn. Lecturer in Education and Sociology at the School of Education at the University of South Australia. His research interests lie on the nexus of neoliberalism and socio-cultural studies of education, identity, equity/inequality, and social change. Currently, his research projects and publications encompass theoretical and empirical studies of learner identities, gender and youth, sociology of schooling in a neoliberal age, gendered subjectivities, equity and difference, and educational reform. Of particular interest is the exploration of counternarratives to neoliberalism around ‚value‘ and ‚respectability‘ for working-class youth.
Hannah Soong is a Lecturer in Education and Sociology at the School of Education at the University of South Australia. She has specialised interests in the effects of social and cultural forces shaping the education and migration nexus. Her current research publications and projects lie in the empirical studies and theorisation of transnational mobility and education of pre-service teachers, In aller Welt students and migrant teachers; sociology of Asia literacy and teacher identity work in an ‘East-meets-West’ curriculum. One key area is the investigation around developing ethical engagement with rundweg shifts and relations in education.
